What does the course entail?
This 3 day PHECC First Aid response course is for persons dealing with the types of injuries that
would be likely to occur in the workplace. This training deals with the types of injuries that would be likely
to occur at the workplace and is designed to train participants in the correct response to any workplace
emergency.

Introduction to first aid
Patient Assessment
Incident Procedure
Cardiac First Response – (CPR/AED, Heart attack, stroke, choking)
Common Medical Emergencies
Injury management and shock
Care for unconscious patient
Burns and Electrical injury care
Hypothermia and hyperthermia
Information management
Self-assessment
The well being of the First Aid Responder
Requirements:
To participate on the course learner must have a reasonable level of English and must be aged 18 or
over.
What does the course entail?
Our First Aid Response course provides participants with the necessary skills and understanding required to give the appropriate First Aid in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work.
This course is HSA recognised standard of First Aid to those who are interested in becoming a First Aider.
