Chemical awareness training is designed to educate workers about the safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in the workplace. The goal is to minimize the risks associated with chemical exposure, spills, or accidents. It ensures that employees understand the potential hazards and know how to work safely with chemicals to protect themselves, coworkers, and the environment.

Identification and classification of chemicals (e.g., flammable, corrosive, toxic, etc.)
Understanding chemical symbols and labels (e.g., GHS labels)
Chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
How to read and interpret SDS to understand hazards, safe handling practices, and emergency measures
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Selection and use of appropriate PPE (e.g., gloves, goggles, respirators)
Safe Handling and Storage Practices
Guidelines for storing chemicals safely, including segregation of incompatible substances
